NaNoWriMo, Day One

NaNoWriMo 2011 ParticipantGot off to a late start on the first day of NaNoWriMo. But I did get my word count in: 1,751. Yay! Working with the books by Larry Brooks and his writing tips from StoryFix last month helped a lot. Abby Dawg is working away on her novel, too, aren’t you, Abby?

Abby? Abby girl? Baby?

Well, look at that: Abby Dawg is sound asleep. It has been a long day and I think I’ll join her. I need to get a much earlier start tomorrow so I can revise my beat sheet with some things I only realized tonight while writing the first two scenes. I also need to re-acquaint myself with the story after having left it aside for a few days while handling other matters. (Ever notice how life insists on throwing things at you whenever you really need to sit your backside in your chair and just write?)

Btw, keep us in your thoughts and/or prayers. I’m taking Abby to the vet tomorrow for a checkup. She has a very dry, rough nose with a bit of a discharge and, I have to admit, everything I’ve read on the internet about those symptoms has me worried. She has allergies and has been on immunosuppressants off and on for a long time, so that might be contributing to the problem. My poor baby girl. Sigh. Gotta get her feeling better so she can work on her NaNo novel, too. 😉

I hope you’re doing well in your own NaNoWriMo adventure. 🙂

About WP

I'm training myself to write fiction. I gave up on training Abby Dawg a long time ago. What will I be posting here? Stuff, nonsense, nonsensical stuff and stuffy nonsense. And eventually some fiction. When I have something at the stage where I can share. :)
